Home?
I miss my apartment. I miss autumn. The bicoastal timeline is perfect. I get some mild winter, some unbearably beautiful west coast spring, some west coast summer, some east coast summer, some unbearably beautiful east coast autumn, and some crisp cold winter. Six seasons!

Does Ontario really count as East Coast? I have some Newfies that would like to have a word with you...
insofar as toronto is the new york of canada (!!), I can in good conscience refer to it as "east coast." besides, it's the furthest east enclave of anglophone theatre in the country. I know you're going to make some sort of a case for montreal, but somehow, I don't buy it.
See, now, I *still* disagree with you. Halifax has an amazing Anglo theatre scene, and St John's a vibrant one suitable for the size of the city.
And doesn't "coast" connote ocean?
I'm totally picking on you now, Mattie. I'm sorry. I'm just teasing.

ugh, saying halifax has a theatre scene is like saying vancouver has a theatre scene....it does, and there's some decent stuff coming out of there, but...it's like the poor cousin. wow. i'm an unremitting snob. this is why i'm worthy to be picked on. :D
It was a vancouverite who first described this city to me as the poor cousin. what can I say? if it makes me an ontarian to note that toronto has the biggest theatre scene in the country, then so be it.
If this is as good as it gets for theatre in this country, I'm a little bit sad. Sure, we have a lot of artists, but no audiences. Halifax has fewer artists but a passionate theatre going population. Who's better off?
yes yes. everyone hate toronto and all the people from there. that is toronto's lot - to be the hated city that runs the country. it's fine. i don't even consider myself particularly torontonian, but whatever.
