The Living Centrifuge

I'm obviously more bothered than I thought by the fact that no one comes to my butoh classes. I just woke up from a dream where I was teaching a class that was packed with people, but the girl who was running the school (someone I went to high school with, and the Egypt trip), kept interrupting the class, saying things that were basically like "don't worry, it's nearly over," and so forth. After it was over, there were people asking questions, comparing me to someone else, and Bernie Ford was there saying that the narrative approach of the other teacher's work was easier to understand ("and he's a buddy of mine", he said, looking at me), and Uncle Dave said that teachers were cheaper to pay than advertised in brochures, so we had to do what the schools wanted us to do, and so I was being subversive by doing things that the school leader obviously didn't want, and George from butoh class asked (as the leader of the school kept trying to lead the discussion, and I decided that I wasn't going to let her, so we both were entertaining questions) if actors competed for my attentions. Then the school leader used George as an example of his own complaint, and said "I think we can all agree that no one sees the pollen rising." "I see it," I said. And there were a few people who put up their hands in solidarity, but I couldn't see their faces. George was one of them. Then she provoked me further. I called her a cunt, and then I pushed her as she was physically confronting me....

It will all end in tears. I guess I'd better'd cancel my class.
