A Ransom Note from Dance

Dear Matthew's Father:

First things first, don't try to get help from the police. I am holding your son and have few plans of letting him go. Enclosed is a series of photos of Matthew. In the first, you'll see that we've stripped him, and are keeping him immersed in mud. In the second, you'll see that we are mistreating him horribly. His feet are cut up, his torso is bruised and scraped, and we're keeping his head shorn, in an attempt to erase his identity. He has become pliable to our will, and may never return to you. We are aided by the Kokoro Dance Theatre Society, who creates transformative works, and makes great demands on your son, such that when he meets these demands, he feels a great sense of self worth. Their artistic directors say things like "well, you're definitely a Kokoro dancer. Many are called few are chosen," which make Matthew think that he might have a place in the company in the future.

Kindest regards,

Dance

Comments:
Hostage? That implies being held against your will and I sincerely doubt that.

Hi Luigi,

Dance here. I have been very wise in my prisoner-taking. I chose a victim who was already vulnerable to my particular charms, and brainwashed him effectively. Now he can never return to how he was. MMMMWAHAHAHAHAHAH!

Hi Dance,
The Thistle Project here.
Get the f*ck away from my Artistic Co-Director.
