Music

Clair de Lune makes my heart ache.
Stupid Debussy and his stupid excellent music.
Ravel does the same thing to me.
Stupid late 19th/early 20th Century French composers.

Comments:
Smile

Smile though your heart is aching
Smile even though it's breaking
When there are clouds in the sky
You'll get by
If you smile through your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You'll see the sun come shining through
If you

Light up your face with gladness
Hide every trace of sadness
Although a tear
May be ever so near
That's the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what's the use of crying?
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just

Liiiiiight up your faaaaace with glaaaadneeessssssss
Hide ev'ryyyyyyyy traaaaaaace of saaaaadneeessssssss
Althoooowa teeeeear
May be evaaaaaaah sooooooo neaaaaar
That's the tiiiiiiiiime you mwuuuuuuust keep ooon tryyyying
Smiiiiiiile, what's the huuuuse of cryyyying?
You'll fiind that liiiiiife is stilllll worthwhiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiile
If youuuuuuuu juuuuuuuuust
Smiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiillllllllllllllllllllllllllllllle

Trivia item: Charlie Chaplin wrote that song.

Really???
That's neat.
Luigi, you are my new 'random fact' hero.

What can you tell me about this:

Johnny could only sing one note and the note he sang was this:
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Poor Johnny One-Note
Sang out with gusto
And just o-
verloaded
The place
Poor Johnny One-Note
Yelled willy-nilly
Until he
was blue in
The face
For holding one note was his Ace

Couldn't hear the brass
Couldn't hear the drums
He was in a class
By himself, by gum

Poor Johnny One-Note
Got in Aida
Indeed a
Great chance to
Be brave
He took his one note
Howled like the north wind
Brought forth wind
That made
Critics rave
While Verdi turned round in his grave

Couldn't hear the flute
Or the big trombone
Everyone was mute
Johnny stood alone

Cats and dogs stopped yappin
Lions in the zoo
All were jealous of Johnny's big trill
Thunder claps stopped clappin
Traffic ceased it's roar
And they tell us Niagara stood still

He stopped the
Train whistles
Boat whistles
Steam whistles
Cop whistles
All whistles bowed to his skill

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Sing Johnny One-Note
Sing out with gusto
And just o-
Verload all
The crowd
So sing Johnny One-Note out loud

So sing Johnny One-Nooooooooooooote

Sing
Johnny
One-Note
Out Looooooooooooooooooooooooooooud
